The spectacular thing about the Goliath is that it is not spectacular in a superficial, excessive way.
If switched on, its effect comes to me on a cat's paws rather than on the chains of a bulldozer.
If switched off however, I miss the effect immediately and turn the Goliath back into function again.

A while ago I bought the WR Goliath Emphasizer "DI". I use the device permanently
since then in any kind of situation, both on stage and for recording. The goliath modifies the sound only
marginally,
it is as if it breathes life into the rest of my setup. But when I switch it off I notice,
how big the difference it makes actually is. I have several other "little sound helpers",
for instance the Cocacomp by Okko, the FET overdrive by Tritonelab and the VT Bass by Tech 21.
All of them work just fine without the Goliath, but in conjunction with it they are really perfect.
