Olivier Crépin, clarinet
Magali Frandon-Viltié, piano
Olivier Crépin left Nantes at the age of 16 to study at the High School for the Performing Arts in Houston, Texas. In 1986 he was one of the prize-winners in the Festival of Music High Schools competition run by the Houston Symphony Orchestra. On returning to France he continued to study at the Conservatoire in Paris and became solo clarinettist with the La Concertante symphony orchestra. He took first prize for clarinet under Richard Vieille and first prize in the UFAM chamber music competition. He completed his studies in Belgium in 1994 with the concert clarinettist Walter Boeykens at the Antwerp Conservatoire. He now teaches the instrument in La Baule and at the Guérande music school.
Magali Frandon-Viltié studied music at the Marseille Conservatoire, gaining gold medals for piano and chamber music. She is now studying at the Pans Conservatoire with Jean-François Heisser and Réna Cherechevskaia. She plays in a number of chamber music ensembles, performing with them in France and elsewhere.
